Movie Monday: MLK Day ~ The Secret

Happy Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day!

Davy ~ my good buddy and American hero (from the U.S. Army with his Purple ♥Heart♥) ~ strongly recommended The Secret to me because it has served as a source of inspiration for him. On this MLK Day, my last Monday off before ♣Spring Break♣ and Memorial Day, I made a point to watch it, and Dr. MLK Jr. himself also was featured!

I won’t give too much more away about this movie because I want you all to see for yourselves how to succeed and prosper, unless you’ve seen it already, and if that’s the case, then by all means, check it out again! Let’s just say that The Secret further reinforces the approach that I try to take in my own life with a ☼positive perspective☼ and an attitude of gratitude!

• good eye doctor appointment this morning, during which the optometrist asked me about my dissertation
• safe travels from the sleet on the streets
• finishing the Starbucks Winter Star Dash to earn bonus stars, my next free treat and maintain my Gold Level status

• receiving an email from my classmate who graduated with his dissertation to help guide me through mine
• hearing back from the editor and my main source of the story that I’m covering for the paper
• receiving an email from one of my good girl friends, Amy, with encouragement and this cute cat pic
