simply bask in the ☼sunshine☼ through ALL of my senses ~ including the smell of fresh air

banana ice cream, paletas (popcycles) or raspas (snow cones) ~ anything frozen treat to beat the heat!

watch a blockbuster & ☼sun☼ fun run or walk on the beach + chow down

mainly to finish my doc docs (paper & PowerPoint to prep to present for dissertation defense) ~ since I’m not completely caught up, my Plan B is to have them done by Labor Day now that Fall is upon us and the BiG Day draws near + added bonus: relatives reunion, check √

I’ve already built up quite a two-piece collection through the years but wouldn’t mind adding a monokini to the mix ~ my fave of the moment: my VS chevron top & ombré bottom (see No. 5 “paleta” link for sippie selfie in said swimsuit)

Beauty Tuesday: Mini Sleeves

Happy Belated Presidents’ Day 🇺🇸

Lately, I’ve been into sleeved (long- or 3/4-sleeved) mini dresses during this mid-season.

First, my sister started me out with this piece from the Altuzarra collection.

Then I gathered more garments from A’GACI, both for †CHRISTmas† and ♥Valentine’s♥.

My Ash Wednesday ensemble when I proclaimed the readings at evening Mass: IN San Francisco lavender 3/4-sleeved mini dress with ruffled v-neck & tan trim ivory braided skinny belt {thanks to María’s †CHRISTmas† gift card from Dillard’s} * Corral 2-toned cowboy boots * Nicole by O•P•I Kardashian Kolor in Back to Reality TV (lavender) as main shade & Follow Me on Glitter (black sparkle for ashes) as accent hue

Most recently, I wore this when I proclaimed the readings at Ash Wednesday †Mass†.

Last Saturday, when I got ready for the ♥Valentine’s♥ dinner dance,  I still stayed productive by hitting the park to dry my nails during a fun run & quickie workout

followed by a study session at Starbucks, + ♥Adoration♥ at the †Chapel† and Vigil †Mass† before spending the evening at the Country Club!

Walking uphill in these platforms is a workout in itself! No pole or 18 hole!

Despite insoles to alleviate the platform pain, I must admit that I suffered through shuffling (i.e., ♫Cupid Shuffle♪) + salsa y bailando en general yet still managed to have a blast!

Taking a break from dancing & photographing … Here’s how I did my hair (when it held up): I kept it braided all day ’til I got ready, then separated into 2 sections ~ teased the top & put into a braid to wrap around the bottom, which I curled.

Both mi comadre y mi amigo suggested this skin care mode for me ~ so I noticed the effectiveness when I spot-treat! When I compared ingredients between my toothpaste and my astringent, it made sense:

Well, we all need to make time out of our busy schedules to take care of ourselves! In the midst of serving my Church, working on my dissertation, teaching and tutoring, photographing, I must be mindful of my own maintenance in order to keep up my mood and momentum plus stay effective.

Braid for Cascade of Waves Rave

I had a beautiful hair day on this Sunday fun day ~ well, more like this whole weekend, actually!

First, I started with braiding my hair and pinning it up. Like my new Coach Gabrielle glasses?
