Pope Francis take * on how home influences our faith [my commentary in brackets]:
“Faith opens a ‘window’ to the presence and working of the Spirit. It shows us that, like happiness, holiness is always tied to little gestures.
‘Whoever gives you a cup of water in my name will not go unrewarded,’ Jesus says (Mark 9:41).
“These little gestures are those we learn at home, in the family; they get lost amid all the other things we do, yet they do make each day different. They are the quiet things done by mothers and grandmothers, by fathers and grandfathers , by children, by brothers and sisters . They are little signs of tenderness, affection, and compassion.
“Like the warm supper we look forward to at night [my mom ‘s homecooking ], the early meal awaiting someone who gets up early to go to work [my dad ‘s coffee ].
“Homely gestures.
“Love is shown by little things, by attention to small daily signs that make us feel at home. Faith grows when it is lived and shaped by love. That is why our families, our homes, are true domestic churches. They are the right place for faith to become life and life to grow in faith.”

Two-Day Game Warning: Almost the End of Regulation !
As I approach my Big Day (Public Dissertation Defense ) to complete my Doctor of Philosophy , my journey toward this ultimate goal may be drawing to a close while my next one toward my career advancement will begin.
However, my Ph.D. pursuit has helped me grow, not just professionally , but also personally , and most of all: spiritually . Furthermore, this undertaking couldn’t have been accomplished single-handedly: GOD’s grace provided, JESUS’ example was all-sided, and the HOLY SPIRIT’s light guided, in addition to Team Dr. D, who had my back. I forever will be grateful to the †Heavenly HOLY TRINITY† and my positive supporters here on Earth , who’ve rooted me on all the way , leading up to this Tuesday, December 8 ~ save-the-date
My next anticipated title this Advent : Tita Elaine .
We expect my future niece or nephew to arrive around CHRISTmas time ~ the very 1st grandchild of my parents , who recently celebrated their ♥wedding♥ anniversary . Yes, my family is very blessed . I read his testament on patience yesterday, which was wonderful timing because it was just what I needed in multiple aspects of my life:
getting through my dissertation defenses
seeking a career advancement
dealing with difficult people
Before I read his passage, I realized how patience helped me through those obstacles mentioned above:
I received encouragement from my professors
I received my latest teaching assignment
I received a fresh perspective on someone
These were reasons to thank GOD!
When I went through my Confirmation classes, I sought patience as a virtue and still continue pursuing it through all aspects of my life. We live in a world of
instant gratification
sense of urgency
Yet …
If we patient ly wait, we’ll have more reason to ☼celebrate.
As we commonly say, and I first heard from my eighth grade math teacher:
Good things come to those who wait, for they will be ☼rewarded☼ ten-fold.
Plus, as my buddy, Big D has mentioned:
Anticipation creates ☼excitement.

As I prepare for my service to our Church as commentator *** today, I continue to seek the Holy Spirit ‘s guidance .
Dr. Grassi Guts, Grace & Glory approaches scripture like a linebacker* ~ so I’ll do the same, per these positions:
Stance ~ “starts with the right foundation”
So then, anyone who hears these words of mine and obeys them is like a wise man who built his house on rock. The rain poured down, the rivers flooded over, and the wind blew hard against that house. I received this generous gift from my spiritual mentor in great timing: the day before my latest conference call with my professor ** to practice my dissertation defense ~ in which I advanced to my first committee defense (preliminary presentation to my professors on board)! This reminds me of how the Bishop has always come through for me ~ particularly when he gave me the Holy Spirit Master’s degree almost a decade ago!

Am challenged with accepting Your will
Anger
Observe someone else having my desires
Envy
Especially, as Bishop Mike , my mentor , has advised
To seek the light of the ~*~Holy Spirit~*~ while remaining grounded ✌
That way, I, as a grateful and humble servant, DON’T take GOD’s blessings for granted.
