Following my 🏁fun run👣 around the 🎓university🏤 campus course⛳️ (2 full miles = 1 lap), I earned new 👟kicks! Pretty slick, huh?
As a mall rat worker back in high school and college, I sold💰 shoes (not like the Married with Children dad, Al Bundy) ~ so I knew my footwear👞 like the back of my 👋🏽hand, and it didn’t hurt to have those perks☕️ of test-driving🚘 …
Or running in them!
These Canadian🇨🇦 Running prize winners that I selected are in a kid’s size ~ so I could $ave over half👊🏽 of the original comparable women’s pair of shoes, while still having the competitive ISO feature!

On this icy winter day, I woke up from having a dream that I thought was worth sharing with the lesson that it taught me: we deserve to earn incentives if we take steps toward our goals. In other words:
Let’s reward ourselves for our accomplishments.
In this dream, I was reading an article about someone whose positive reinforcement would be trip incentives once she’d reach an accomplishment… Then I realized that sometimes I procrastinate instead of motivate myself to keep working on my dissertation by rewarding myself before I do my tasks. So, today, on another cold one, I pledge to reward myself after I invest my effort!
Here’s how I’ll provide positive reinforcement for persisting through my research:
